Activities
La Bérarde is a mountain biking trail in the heights of Saint-Pons with a challenging descent. The trail runs through the heights of La Frache (Saint-Pons) and along the Torrent de la Bérarde.
The Centre de vol à voile de l’Ubaye at the Aérodrome de Saint-Pons offers gliding and airplane flights. Flights by airplane, glider and ULM are possible from the Aérodrome de Saint-Pons Barcelonnette.
Jungle Parc offers three adventure courses of varying difficulty, each with 45 stations. There is also a 150-metre-long zip line in a three-hectare forest. Jungle Carte au trésor is a GPS treasure hunt with historical documents that takes between half a day and a full day, depending on the level, and takes place at Les Terres Neuves in Saint-Pons.
Culture
The Église Saint-Pons was built in the 12th century and is one of the oldest Romanesque churches in the valley. It houses remarkable painted decorations from the 14th century and was listed as a Monument historique in 1912.
Local character
The Fête de la moisson takes place every year in August in Saint-Pons and showcases harvesting traditions, crafts and local traditions. As part of the event, bread is baked in the communal oven and then sold.
