The Verdon River rises in La Foux d’Allos. The surroundings of La Foux d’Allos are characterised by wooden chalets and mountain pastures where herds graze. From the summit of Rochegrand, a 360-degree panorama extends over the high peaks above Val d’Allos.

Hiking

The Cingle Plongeur is a 3.2-kilometre themed hiking trail in La Foux. The trail explains how the Verdon originates and includes a landscape information board.

The hike to the Refuge de l’Estrop begins at the Pont de Labrau chairlift. It offers a viewpoint between the upper Bléone Valley and the Haut-Verdon.

The Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church stands at the entrance to the hamlet of La Foux, on the left bank of the Verdon. The Saint-Jean-Baptiste Chapel was probably built in the 17th century.
