Winter and Activities
The Parc des écureuils is located just 200 metres from the Montclar Les 2 Vallées resort. It offers adventure courses for children and adults. Tandem paragliding flights are also available at the resort.
The Circuit des Chapelles starts at the Montclar Les 2 Vallées resort and heads towards the Col Saint-Jean.
Nature
Lac de Saint-Léger resembles a bog and is a Natura 2000 site of great ecological importance for flora and fauna.
Protected orchids, including the lady's slipper orchid, as well as the rare mollusc Vertigo angustior, can be found in Lac de Saint-Léger.
Culture and History
The former village of Montclar was located on the summit now known as La Salette. A chapel and a clock tower can be seen there, both of which were built in the 19th century.
The Saint-Jean Chapel was built at the beginning of the 13th century by the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem and restored by the Hospitallers in 1644. The Saint-Léger Chapel was restored in 1968–1969; its architecture is considered to be rustic 13th-century Romanesque architecture. The Church of Saint-Pierre in La Chapelle was built in 1555.
