Nature
The Balade de l'Observatoire et de la cascade de Mérelle is a 5.4 km circular trail with an elevation gain of 240 m. The voie douce et piétonne du Cerceneux Marion is an 8 km out-and-back route with an elevation gain of 67 m. Free parking is available in the town centre or near the lake for the Balade du Tour du lac de Gérardmer; the boat landing is approximately 300 m away.
Activities
The Bureau Montagne Gérardmer offers themed hikes as well as hikes for observing wildlife. The Union Nautique at Quai de Waremme has three supervised swimming areas on the shore of Lac de Gérardmer.
Culture
The Église Saint-Barthélemy was destroyed by the effects of war on 20 June 1940. Reconstruction began in 1952, and the present-day church was consecrated on 10 October 1954. It houses a choir organ built and installed in 1954 by Maison Roethinger de Strasbourg, as well as a large organ installed in 1959 by the same organ builder. Several concerts take place in the church every summer.
The Fête des Jonquilles originated in 1935 on the initiative of Gérardmer's motorcycle club. Its first official festival took place on 22 April 1935.

On 20, 21, 22 and 27 August 2026, guided tours of Brasserie La Bonlohi will be offered in Gérardmer. Tasting is available after the tour; the brewery's beers can also be enjoyed on the terrace.
