Culture

The Maison du Granit presents the history and craftsmanship of the Picapedrers of Dorres through tools, old photographs and works created over the centuries.

Construction of the Church of Saint-Jean, dedicated to Saint John the Evangelist, began in the 12th century. The parish church of Saint-Jean houses a Black Madonna and a collection of Baroque altarpieces. Every year, the Black Madonna returns to Saint-Jean in the Chapelle de Bell-lloc.

The Chapelle de Bell-lloc is classified as a 13th-century historical monument. The Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Belloch consists of a single-nave church and a vaulted apse. In Dorres, the Chapelle de Mageta has an oratory dedicated to Saint Mark.

Landscape

Dorres is located in the Parc naturel régional des Pyrénées catalanes. The Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Belloch overlooks the Cerdagne plateau.

The Montée à Bell-lloc hike can begin in Dorres's main square. The hike via Bell-lloc leads to a viewpoint overlooking the Cerdagne as far as Canigó.
