Six relatively challenging hiking routes start from Belcaire and lead through various forests. The hiking landscape includes extensive old state forests with firs, beech trees, Scots pines, linden trees and ash trees.

Culture and History

Belcaire was built around an 11th-century castle. The former military castle of Belcaire was set on fire by the Huguenots; today, only ruins remain.

The church of Belcaire features a Baroque altarpiece made of polychrome, gilded wood, dating from the end of the reign of Louis XIV. Its battlemented bell tower was built in 1884 and gives the church the appearance of a fortress.
