La Bormillière is a moderately difficult, 7 km-long hiking trail starting in Fresse. The trail conveys an impression of the scattered settlement structure of the village, with around thirty hamlets. The ridge of La Bormillière offers views of Ternuay, the Plateau des 1000 Étangs and the wooded hills of the southern Vosges.
Landscape and Nature
The valley of Fresse is framed by the Radelon (Raddon), a small tributary of the Ognon. More than 14 km² of Fresse’s total municipal area of 27 km² is forested.
The Plateau des 1000 Étangs forms a mosaic landscape of ponds, streams, meadows, marshes and forests and is home to a diverse range of animal and plant life.
Culture
The Church of Saint Antide in Fresse contains two bas-reliefs depicting Saint Michael and Saint Francis. The two bas-reliefs are made of carved and painted wood and date from the 18th century. They are registered as protected cultural heritage; the protection was registered on November 6, 1974.
