UNESCO recognises the Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Haut de Ronchamp for its revolutionary approach to religious architecture. As an important work by Le Corbusier, it is also the only UNESCO site in Haute-Saône.

Culture
The Château d’Oricourt is a fortified castle from the 12th century and the best-preserved example of its kind in Franche-Comté.
The Château de Ray-sur-Saône stands on a rocky outcrop above the Saône Valley. Its present appearance dates from after its medieval construction, destruction in the 17th century and rebuilding in the 18th century.
Visits to the Château de Ray-sur-Saône take place as guided tours.
Luxeuil-les-Bains combines artistic and historical heritage with thermal waters.
Nature
The Plateau des Mille étangs is a wetland of European interest in the southern Vosges Saônoises.
The Plateau des 1000 Étangs was formed by the retreat of the glaciers. It covers 220 km² and features rare ecosystems and exceptional biodiversity.
The Monts de Gy offer wild orchids in spring and the deer rut in autumn. The Camino de Compostela and the GR154 Via Francigena also cross there.
Getting Around
The Échappée des 1000 Étangs is a multisensory route of more than 60 km with six interactive landscape stops between Faucogney-et-la-Mer and Château-Lambert.
The Plateau des 1000 Étangs offers more than 30 circular hiking trails and an equestrian route. There is also a signposted route and two gravel circuits.
The Voie Bleue connects Luxembourg and Lyon through the valleys of the Moselle and Saône; a 142 km section runs through Haute-Saône.
The Chemin Vert connects the Voie Bleue cycle route with EuroVelo 6.
The Ognon Valley offers a 150 km canoeing route to the Saône; small weirs lie along the route.
Fishing is possible on the Breuchin and Ognon rivers, which are classified as first-category rivers, as well as in private ponds.
The Échappée des 1000 Étangs includes the Saint-Martin Church in Faucogney-et-la-Mer and the remains of Saint-Colomban’s first European monastery in Annegray.
The Grilloux landscape stop in Servance includes a suspended net offering an elevated view over the ponds.
Food and Drink
Highlighted local products in Haute-Saône include Gruyère, IGP Cancoillotte, Kirsch and cherries from Fougerolles, ham from Luxeuil and wines from several locations.
At markets and traditional farms, visitors can taste cheese, honey, fruit juices and other local products.
The Ognon Valley is home to IGP Cancoillotte as well as wines associated with Hugier, Bucey-lès-Gy, Motey-Besuche, Le Moutherot and Offlanges.
Kirsch is a cherry brandy made by distilling local cherries, which received AOC status in 2010.
