At the Col de Serre and in the Lascourt area, the Domaine Nordique du Haut Cantal Puy-Mary offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. In Le Claux, Nordicateam offers dog sled rides, canicross hikes or snowshoe hikes with dogs, as well as a musher experience day.

Hiking
Les Chamois is a difficult, 17.9 km circular hiking trail. The Les Chamois circular trail starts and ends at the Maison de Site du Puy Mary – Volcan du Cantal.
The GR®400-Boucle de la vallée du Claux is a 22 km day hike from Le Claux to Le Claux via the ridge of the Puy de la Tourte, the Suc de la Blatte and the Étang de Lascourt. After crossing the Col de Serre, the Les Chamois trail follows the GR4/400.
During the summer season, the Les Chamois hiking trail is served by the Puy-Mary shuttles; line 4 between Riom-ès-Montagnes and the Col de Serre stops in Le Claux. Les Burons is a marked 14.4 km circular trail starting from Le Claux and leading to the summer pastures.
Culture and Information
The Four Troglodyte de Lapeyre in Le Claux is put back into operation every year for the Terroir festival on the first weekend of August. The Maison de Site du Claux in the Petite-Rhue valley has an information point, a shop and an exhibition room.
Nature
Le Claux lies at the foot of Puy Mary, which has been designated a Grand Site de France. Le Claux is also located in the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d’Auvergne.
