The Ancienne abbaye laïque in Arette is partially protected as a historic monument. Its façades, roofs, old fireplaces, and park were placed under protection by a decree dated October 28, 1968.
The Église Saint-Pierre d’Arette bears the year 1693 on its west portal. The church also contains a chrism regarded as a remnant of Arette’s first Romanesque church, dating from the 13th century.

Nature
The Fontaine de Salet is located on the eastern edge of Arette, at the Bois du Calvaire, in a wooded area with walking paths. It was built by local stonemasons in May 1828.
Hiking trail no. 18, “Le chemin de la transhumance,” begins in Salet in the center of Arette and is an easy, 12.8-kilometer out-and-back hike.
The “Fracas au Braca” Tèrra-Aventura trail runs through the heart of the Braca forest and is accessible year-round. The “Voyage au centre de la Pierre” trail reveals the secrets of the karst massif of La Pierre Saint-Martin.
