Hiking trails

Twelve trails meet at the Col de la Perheux. The C15 hiking trail, “Around the Col de la Perheux,” is a moderately difficult half-day hike of approximately 11 km with 350 m of elevation gain, starting in Rothau. On the C15, the trail follows a gentle 2.5 km incline over the heights of Wildersbach to the Abri du Chenôt. The C15 hiking trail reaches the Ferme Auberge de la Perheux 300 m after turning off behind the “Wildersbach” sign and leads to the Col de la Perheux 300 m later.

Culture and history

The present-day Lutheran church of Wildersbach was built in 1862; its entrance tower was added in 1892. A Protestant cultural tour follows a small mountain road to the Lutheran church of Wildersbach on Rue de l'Église, where the original altar, pulpit, and pews have been fully preserved.

The Marches contées explore five centuries of history and the legends of the Ban de la Roche. In the lower part of Wildersbach, the base of the former chimney of the heating plant serving the production building of Société Claude Frêres has been preserved. In the Middle Ages, La Perheux was a place where witches were executed.
