Nový Kramolín: Hotels and Accommodation

Nový Kramolín is characterized by a rock outcrop with a cross. Part of the municipality’s territory lies within the Český les Protected Landscape Area and the Český les Nature Park.

Nature and Trails

A protected quartz ridge is located in the cadastral area and the village of Nový Kramolín. A natural pond was renovated in 2008 and equipped with new pools. In the direction of Vlkanov, a water reservoir is used for swimming.

Hiking trails run through the western part of the municipality of Nový Kramolín. Paved paths provide access to the surrounding area for short-term recreation.

Connections

The project for the pedestrian and cycle path connection between Nový Kramolín and Postřekov was completed on 14 March 2025. The route between the two municipalities connects Nový Kramolín and Postřekov and is intended for pedestrians, cyclists, inline skaters, and other users.

Culture and History

The late Baroque sculpture group of the Holy Trinity is located in the garden of the Nový Kramolín kindergarten and dates from 1766. The pedestal is made of granite, while the ensemble itself is made of sandstone. At the exit from Nový Kramolín in the direction of Vlkanov stands a chapel dedicated to Saint Wenceslas. It was built in the Baroque style in the 18th century and later modernized. Nový Kramolín also has a Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk.

Until 1786, Nový Kramolín belonged to the Pivoň estate of the Augustinian monastery; afterward, the municipality became part of the Poběžovice estate. The first written mention of Kramolín dates from 1379, when the place was recorded as an abandoned village. The Valtířov Memorial stands on the site of the former village of Valtířov; it was built in the 1990s from granite, metal, and wood.
