Luženičky: Hotels and Accommodation

The mountains Spálený vrch, Škarmanka, Čerchov and Dreiwappen are located in the surroundings of Luženičky. On Baldovské návrší, paths, a cycle route and historical monuments converge around the Baroque Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity.

Landscape

The monument commemorating the Hussite victory on Baldovské návrší lies in the cadastral area of the municipality of Luženičky. From Luženičky, it can be reached via a yellow-marked hiking trail or an access road. The monument and the Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity on Baldovské návrší offer a panoramic semicircular view.

Hiking Trails and Cycle Route

The sculpture trail on Baldov was created in 2013 as part of the Tusta Sculpta sculptors’ symposium. It begins behind Domažlice in the direction of Luženičky, following a green-marked hiking trail.

The Baldov Circuit is a 15-kilometre cycle route. It reaches the signpost above Luženičky, where it connects to Cycle Route No. 3 in the direction of Domažlice. The route runs through hilly terrain and partly along forest roads.

Culture and History

A Baroque hexagonal chapel stands on Baldovské návrší; it is dedicated to the Most Holy Trinity and was built in the 18th century. A clash between Hussites and Crusaders took place on the same ridge in 1431.

Next to the Chapel of Saint Anthony in Luženičky stands a memorial cross dating from 1939. Farmstead No. 7 in Luženičky is considered a valuable building, with a gate with a lintel and a multi-storey residential building dated 1930. Farmstead No. 5 in Luženičky, one of the oldest properties in the municipality, retains an old wooden dovecote.
