Culture and History

The stone granary from the late 16th century belonging to the Statek U Podestátů farmstead now serves as the Draženovský špýchar Museum. The exhibition presents a Chodská sence, Ždánovská and Chodská ceramics, historical documents, and examples of local craftsmanship.

Draženov is home to a Chapel of the Holy Trinity dating from 1720. A barn in the courtyard of house no. 5 in Draženov is an immovable cultural monument.

Draženov is one of the eleven Chod villages whose historical task was to guard the border against incursions by enemy troops.

The war memorial in Draženov is a stone monument from 1922 featuring folk-costumed figures of a woman and a boy. On the road to Luženice stands a small Baroque niche chapel with a square ground plan and a sheet-metal-covered tented roof.

Draženov is home to a rare and significant Chod granary building in which residential and farm functions are combined under one roof; the granary is situated at the front, facing the village square.
