Velké Losiny: Hotels and Accommodation

In Velké Losiny, a vibrant craft tradition comes together with historic architecture. The Ruční papírna Velké Losiny complex was declared a national cultural monument in 2002. Today, the manufactory is one of the oldest companies of its kind still in operation in Europe. During a tour, visitors can take an introductory walk-through and make their own sheet of handmade paper.

Culture

During a tour of Velké Losiny Chateau, visitors can see unique leather and textile wallpapers as well as tapestries from the 17th century. Rarely preserved Renaissance interiors and an arcade are also part of the experience. The route also includes a reminder of the witch trials.

Thermal Facilities

TERMÁLY LOSINY has nine thermal pools with a water temperature of up to 36 °C. The indoor and outdoor pools are supplied by the natural Žerotín thermal spring, which rises from a depth of more than 1,000 m. The sauna world offers four types of sauna. Step-free access to the sauna area is possible via a lift from the swimming hall.

Educational Trails and Paths

The “Kolem stromů, které něco zažily” educational trail leads through part of Velké Losiny and presents the stories of twenty trees. It has 20 stops and is approximately 5 km long; it is also suitable for children, prams and wheelchair users. The “Naučná stezka Velkých Losin” educational trail begins at the Church of St John the Baptist and offers views of the Jeseníky mountain range.

The Velké Losiny–Rapotín hiking route leads from Lázně Velké Losiny via Velké Losiny Chateau in the direction of Rapotín. It runs mostly along the Desná River.
