Kopřivná: Hotels and Accommodation

Around Kopřivná, mountain trails lead through forests and pastures; in winter, they are also frequently used by cross-country skiers.

Location and landscape

The Kopřivná area has a foothill to mountainous character. Kopřivná stretches along the road between Šumperk and Hanušovice. The mountains of Bouda, Sviní hora, Černá stráň and Souš are located around Kopřivná. In the wider regional surroundings of Kopřivná lies Hrad Brníčko, a castle.

Culture and buildings

In the municipality of Kopřivná in the Šumperk District stands the small Chapel of the Ascension of Christ, usually known as the Matzek Chapel. The small Neoclassical, rustic building stands alone at the edge of a field beside a road. From the chapel, there is, among other things, a view of the Králický Sněžník massif.

Trails and destinations

The municipality of Kopřivná offers numerous trails for tourist exploration and sightseeing. The Nový Hrad ruins are located in the immediate vicinity of Kopřivná, between Bohdíkov and Kopřivná. They are freely accessible from several directions and can be reached via marked trails from Hanušovice (4.5 km), Lužná (1.5 km), Bohdíkov (4 km) and Raškov (1.2 km). From Kopřivná, you can set out for the settlement of Prameny. You can also set out from there for nearby Velké Losiny.
