The urban conservation area is located in the original historic centre of Jablonné v Podještědí. The surviving town walls form fragments of a unique medieval Gothic fortification system dating from the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries.

History and Townscape
A Baroque plague column dominates Náměstí míru. It was erected in 1687 in thanks for the averting of the great plague epidemic of 1680.
Towers and Views
The former brewery tower continues to serve as a lookout tower and houses an information centre. The viewing gallery in the tower of the former Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is also accessible; from there, views extend across the town and its surroundings.
Basilica and Zdislava
The Minor Basilica of Saint Lawrence and Saint Zdislava is open to visitors. Themed guided tours lead through the monastery refectory, cloister, basilica and crypt. The building stands above the tomb of Saint Zdislava, to which people in Jablonné v Podještědí have been coming for help and intercession for centuries.
A Meditative Path
The audiovisual exhibition CESTA leads visitors along a meditative path to Saint Zdislava through underground passageways. It uses light, shadow and sound, as well as quotations from the Bible and the Dalimil Chronicle.
The trip from the basilica to Zdislavina studánka is approximately two kilometres long and follows a green-marked hiking trail. Zdislavina studánka is a medicinal water spring below Lemberk, decorated with an Empire-style gloriette featuring eight Tuscan columns.
