Lázně Libverda is home to an access point to Singltrek pod Smrkem. Singltrek pod Smrkem is the first Singltrek destination in the Czech Republic; the trail network lies below Mount Smrk in the wild natural landscape on the northern slopes of the Jizera Mountains.
History and Spa Tradition
The first historical mention of Lázně Libverda dates back to 1381. The two-winged colonnade was built in 1847 and features Doric columns with decorative gloriettes. The Uhličité koupele building in Lázně Libverda has 17 tubs for carbonic acid baths. The Neoclassical château in Lázně Libverda is used as a spa house.
Trails and Exercise
The Fit stezka zdraví a poznání features eight modern stations for outdoor training and is free of charge for guests and local residents. The Relax stezka offers outdoor exercise, a large memory game, reflexology paths, and activities for children. The Lázně Libverda–Smrk route is 20 kilometres long and moderately difficult.
Excursions and Views
The Obří sud excursion restaurant above Lázně Libverda was built in 1931 and is located along marked hiking and cycling trails. It offers views of the Jizera Mountains. From Vyhlídka Libverdských pramenů, visitors can enjoy views of the Lázně Libverda spa grounds with its colonnade and park, as well as the Jizera Mountains.
