History of the Village
The settlement of Vlastiboř was established during the Czech colonization of the area around Železný Brod in the 14th and 15th centuries. The first written mention of Vlastiboř is dated to copies of the tax registers of the Návarov estate from 1565. These copies of the tax registers mention seven farmers in the village of Wlastiborz.
Memorial Sites
A partisan sculpture group stands near the Sokolovna in Vlastiboř. From there, a green-marked hiking trail leads via a forester's lodge to the partisan dugout. At the entrance to the partisan dugout stands a granite pylon from 1974 with a memorial plaque. The partisan dugout was built in 1944 by the Konstantin partisan group.
Another noteworthy local landmark in Vlastiboř is a recently restored bell tower. Vlastiboř also has a monument to the victims of the First World War, 1914–1918.
