The Minschuns family ski area is located in Tschierv. In Minschuns, skiers and snowboarders can ski at altitudes of up to 2,700 metres.

Winter and activities
The high-alpine cross-country ski trail Plaun da l’Aua begins at Alp da Munt at an altitude of 2,150 metres.
The Senda Alp da Munt–Alp Champatsch winter panoramic trail begins at the valley station of the Minschuns ski area and offers panoramic views of the Alps of Val Müstair and the Ortler. After arriving in Lü, the trail can be extended downhill to Tschierv.
The Lü–Tschierv toboggan run is a 4-kilometre descent through snow-covered forests and is partially illuminated. The former Tour de Ski cross-country trail is located in Tschierv. Tschierv also has a heated outdoor swimming pool.
Routes
The second stage of the National Park Bike Tour leads from Tschierv downhill via Fuldera to the entrance to Val Vau. The first stage of the Way of St. James in Graubünden leads from Fuldera via Tschierv or Chasuras to Lü.
The «A la riva dal Rom» hiking trail begins at the source of the Rombach in Süsom-Tschierv and leads to Müstair. It is a themed trail focusing on the history, habitats and legends surrounding the Rombach.
Nature
Tschierv is known for wildlife watching and borders the Swiss National Park.
During the «Out tracking with the hunter» excursion, participants gain insights into wildlife, learn to read animal tracks and observe animals in nature; the event takes place in Tschierv.
Culture and local life
Chalandamarz takes place every year on 1 March; the procession makes its way through the streets of Tschierv to the end of the hamlet.
The Minieras are medieval mines south of Buffalora at an altitude of 2,300 to 2,500 metres on the Ofen Pass.
The Antica Distilleria Beretta-Filli in Tschierv offers guided tours and tastings by arrangement.

PostBus runs hourly from Zernez or Mals to the Tschierv, Süsom Tschierv stop.
