Tschiertschen is located in the mountains of the Schanfigg valley and offers views across the valley. Around the village, there are around 70 kilometres of hiking trails in total. Continuous routes lead, among other places, to Arosa, Lenzerheide and Churwalden, as well as to mountain peaks.

Nature
Tschiertschen is considered a traditional Walser village in the Schanfigg valley. A walk through the village reveals well-maintained wooden houses; there are also views across the valley.
The Gürgaletsch mountain and the peaks of Tschingla, Chüebergchöpf and Marchtschuggen are located in the vicinity of Tschiertschen.
Tschiertschen is described as a peaceful mountain landscape away from large crowds. Places to stop for refreshments include the Ochsenalp, Weisshorn and Hörnlihütte.
Activities
Mountain bikers can choose from numerous routes, including one from Jochalp to the Hühnerköpfe.
Winter
The winter sports area in the Schanfigg valley can be reached from Chur in a 15-minute drive. Parking and the ski bus to the valley station are free of charge.
The Tschiertschen ski area offers 25 kilometres of pistes and a 3-kilometre-long toboggan run.
Culture
Paspels Castle, Falkenstein Castle ruins and the Chur Animal and Leisure Park are located in the vicinity of Tschiertschen. Rietberg Castle lies in the wider regional area surrounding the village.
