Accommodation in Bohinjska Bistrica
Kozji hrbet is the lower part of the former Kobla ski resort in Bohinjska Bistrica and is particularly suitable for families and beginners. Kobla is recommended after fresh snowfall or for beginners training in ski touring. The ski touring slopes near Kobla are accessible by car.

The eighth stage of the Juliana Trail leads from Bohinjska Bistrica over the historic Vrh Bače pass to Podbrdo.
Water and Wellness
Aquapark Bohinj is located at Triglavska cesta 17 in Bohinjska Bistrica. It offers a relaxation pool, a children's pool and a whirlpool. The wellness facilities also include ten saunas of four different types, as well as a salt room for adults and children.
Culture and History
Traditional Slovenian ceremonial cannon firing has been entered in the Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2019 and was demonstrated in Bohinjska Bistrica in August 2024 by the Mali vojni muzej society. Bohinjska Bistrica is also home to the Mali vojni muzej soške fronte 1915–1917.
The Bohinj History Museum is housed in the birthplace of Tomaž Godec. A permanent exhibition there presents the history of Bohinj from prehistoric settlement through the First and Second World Wars. Occasional workshops are aimed at children and adults.
The Historia Bohinj museum collection in Bohinjska Bistrica focuses on the events that shaped Bohinj in the 20th century. It also covers the construction of the Bohinj railway tunnel and the First and Second World Wars.
Water and Regional Products
The Sava Bohinjka fishing area is divided into sections. The first section extends from the outflow of the Jezernica River from Lake Bohinj to the road bridge below the Bohinjska Bistrica River and is managed by the Bohinj Fishing Association. In this fishing area, only fly fishing with all types of lines is permitted, but without additions that would alter their original properties.
The Bohinjska tržnica in Bohinjska Bistrica takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Local products, dairy products, honey and handicrafts are offered.
Travel and Information
Cars, vans, tractor-trailer units, motorhomes and bicycles can be transported on the car-carrying train. The first TIC Bohinj on the drive from Ljubljana is located in Bohinjska Bistrica at Mencingerjeva ulica 10.
