Habakuky consists of houses in the style of folk fantasy architecture and lets visitors immerse themselves in the Slovak folk tales of Pavol Dobšinský. Church, Chapels and Settlement History

Donovaly's cultural heritage includes the Church of St Anthony of Padua, Kostol sv. Antonína Paduánskeho, which dates from 1825. It contains a Classicist altar with a painting of Saint Anthony by the Banská Bystrica painter A. Stollman. In addition, Donovaly has three chapels in the settlements of Bully, Mistríky and Polianka. The history of the village goes back to seven charcoal burners' settlements belonging to the Banská Chamber, from which Donovaly developed. Alongside winter sports, these religious buildings and the emergence of the village from several settlements give the stay a historical and cultural dimension.

The Donovaly–Šachtička educational trail is 11.5 kilometres long. The specific route length provides an important point of reference for planning your day and makes the educational trail a clearly defined hiking option. It should be regarded as a separate offering and not equated with the cycling routes or winter sports facilities.
