Rzepiska: Hotels and Accommodation

Rzepiska is considered the highest-elevation village in northwestern Zamagórze Spiskie. The settlement covers approximately 920 hectares and lies at an elevation of 780 to 1,018 metres above sea level. It consists of five local osiedla, which are called potoki by the residents.

The forests of Rzepiska are considered rich in herbs and provide a habitat for roe deer, red deer, wolves and wild boar.

History and culture

Historical records have documented Rzepiska since 1655. These records name Sołtystwo as the earliest settled part of the village.

Municipality and landscape

Rzepiska is one of eight sołectwa in the rural municipality of Bukowina Tatrzańska. The Białka River is protected as the Dolina Białki Natura 2000 site, while the municipality's territory extends across the ethnographic regions of Podhale and Spisz. The municipality lies at the foot of the Tatra Mountains; one third of its area is occupied by Tatra National Park.
