Castello di Carrè and Its History
The Castello di Carrè was a castle on the hill above Carrè. Ecclesiastical documents from 1030 to 1038 confirm the existence of a castle at this location. The Castello di Carrè belonged to the Capra family for several centuries. In the early 16th century, the Castello di Carrè was demolished on the orders of the Republic of Venice.
