Castello di Priola and Castello Pallavicini

The ruins of Castello di Priola stand on a rocky spur that rises clearly above the surrounding flat meadows. A rocky spur is a projecting rocky ridge; the location of the structure therefore stands out from the level meadowland. Castello di Priola is also known as Castello Pallavicini. The compact structure consisted of three round corner towers that were open towards the inside. There was a square tower on the west side. For those interested in culture, this ruin combines its position above the meadows with the clearly structured form of the building.

Mountains around Prine

There are four mountain destinations around Prine, each with a different spatial relationship to the town. Bric Mindino is a mountain in the immediate vicinity of Prine. Monte Galero is a mountain in the area around Prine. Monte Antoroto is a mountain in the area around Prine. Monte Settepani is a mountain in the area around Prine. Bric Mindino is considered closer to Prine than Monte Galero, Monte Antoroto and Monte Settepani.

Mountain biking routes and Valle Tanaro

Prine is connected to six mountain biking routes. The Valle Tanaro cycle path is shaded and lightly frequented. There are fountains and springs along the route. There are small coves along the Tanaro where swimming is possible. For a mountain bike ride, you can plan to use the fountains and springs as rest stops along the way. For a stay by the river, a cove can be planned as a separate section of the ride. Fountains and springs thus provide short breaks along the route, while a cove on the Tanaro offers a longer break with the possibility of swimming. Those who want to plan several breaks can separate a stop at a spring from a break by the river. The shaded, lightly frequented route remains the section for cycling; the coves are separate waterside spots along the Tanaro. A mountain bike tour can therefore stay on the route or include the river as a later stop.

Parking at Pievetta in Fabula

For Pievetta in Fabula, parking was planned along the municipal road to the village, as well as in the signposted parking areas near the municipal cemetery in Località Prine and at Termotecnica Pericoli.
