Another trail perspective is offered by Sentiero n. 158 – S. Apollonia – Rifugio Val Malza. It passes through the valley floor of the Valle delle Messi along an easily walkable agro-silvo-pastoral road through an alpine landscape. The two trails represent different ways of experiencing the surroundings: one leads to a military-historical remnant, while the other passes through the valley area of the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio.
