Historical Traces in Bagnella

The Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta in Bagnella dates back to the 16th century. As early as 1480, a decree by Bishop Ludovico Donato separated the church from the mother church in Lepreno. A fire caused by a lightning strike destroyed the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta in 1775. In 1909, it was enlarged by adding another bay with its corresponding dome. A bay here refers to a section of the church interior; the dome describes the associated vaulted form. This makes it possible to trace different historical and architectural phases of development in a single building.

The CAI hiking trail SLB05 also has a direct connection to the church: it passes by the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta in Bagnella. The church is one of the sights of Serina. The H15 Rosolo-Bagnella-Cornalba Trail

The H15 Rosolo-Bagnella-Cornalba trail is a tourist walking trail. It connects Bagnella with Cornalba through woodland and links up with Cornalba's fitness trail, which is equipped with exercise stations. The trail therefore not only runs between two places, but also provides a connection to another trail equipped with exercise stations. This relationship is more important for orientation than broadly classifying the H15 as just any hiking route.

The H15 trail runs at an altitude between 626 and 874 metres and has an elevation difference of 248 metres. A GPX track is available for download for digital preparation. A GPX file contains recorded waypoints and can make the route traceable on a suitable device.

The old farmhouses of Bagnella were restored through renovation and safeguarding work and opened their doors to celebrate traditional flavours and inherited knowledge. The Bagnella village festival focuses on charitable causes; it usually takes place on the third weekend of July.

The Museum of Valle is located near Bagnella. The Cascate della Val Vertova are also in the surrounding area. Both destinations broaden the regional frame of reference beyond the topics directly associated with Bagnella.
