The parchments therefore date back further than the historical significance of the sanctuary in the 17th and 18th centuries in the Republic of Venice.

The BEIBARHAUS handicraft workshop in Sauris di Sotto is located in an old sawmill made of stone and wood. At BEIBARHAUS, carpets, tapestries, table decorations, scarves, capes and blankets are made on a hand loom. The hand loom is used to create both textile works for interiors and wearable pieces and blankets in various shapes.
Cheese and Prosciutto as Regional Experiences
In the cellar of Malga Alta Carnia in Sauris di Sotto, visitors can learn about the maturation and refinement of mountain cheese; the experience ends with a tasting.
