The Wachholderheide nature reserve is located in the Westernohe area. The Eisvogelweg nature trail also passes through the local recreation area. The trail is approximately 8 km long, can be combined with other local hiking trails, and offers a starting point and parking facilities at Westernohe village square near the church.
