Westernohe has a village character shaped by a historic townscape and nature-oriented destinations in the surrounding area. Particularly distinctive is an eastern part of the village that was rebuilt in a uniform style after a fire in 1808. This historic reconstruction continues to shape the appearance of the village to this day.
