Since 2001, centuries-old cultural heritage around the castle ruins on Ulrichstein's Castle Hill has been maintained and cultivated using traditional farming methods at the Vogelsberggarten. The Vulkaneum in Schotten is an interactive museum that explains volcanism in an engaging way. A multimedia exhibition explores volcanism and geology in the Vogelsberg. Active Attractions in Schotten and Ulrichstein
At the Hoherodskopf in Schotten, the treetop walkway is 500 meters long in total and features suspension bridges. At the Hoherodskopf climbing forest, nature and adventure enthusiasts can climb from tree to tree under the guidance of trained staff. The two attractions offer different experiences: suspension bridges are part of the route on the treetop walkway, while guided climbing is the focus at the climbing forest.
At the Ulrichstein natural swimming pond, aquatic plants and circulation systems naturally purify the water.
