Schartenköpf, Bremeneck, Hochschergen and Kleinwachsbichel are located in the vicinity of Unterammergau. The nearby Teufelstättkopf and Laubeneck are the highest elevations in the municipality; both reach 1,758 metres.

Pürschling is considered Unterammergau’s local mountain and reaches 1,566 metres. A forest road leads up to it.
