Culture and History

Frauenau was founded in 1324 and is a pilgrimage site in the Regen district of Lower Bavaria. Glassmaking has shaped the identity of the town since the first glassworks there was founded in 1420. Frauenau is also connected to the Glass Route.

Transport

Frauenau has its own railway station on the Zwiesel–Grafenau railway line.
