Culture and History

A Baroque church stands in the center of Rinchnach. It was rebuilt in 1727 by architect Johann Michael Fischer, replacing an earlier Gothic church. Rinchnach also preserves the former buildings of the Benedictine provostry. These include the former provostry building, a medieval cloister dating from 1402, and an oratory. Guided tours include areas of the former monastery complex.

About two kilometers east of Rinchnach, the pilgrimage church of Frauenbrünnl, also known as Guntherkirche, is located in the surrounding forest. It is associated with the former hermitage of Saint Gunther.
