In 2007, the Bavarian State Exhibition “Bavaria – Bohemia: 1,500 Years of Neighbourhood” took place in Zwiesel. It attracted visitors from the neighboring Czech Republic. Zwiesel is also home to a New Apostolic congregation with its own church in the town.
