Nature and Trails
The “Montée au Planay” route leads from the village of Bramans towards Planay and through a larch forest. The trails described therefore focus on different forest landscapes: heather and pine forest on the route to Le Châtel, and larch forest on the route to Planay.
Culture
The Church of Saint-Pierre d'Extravache is one of the few surviving examples of the Romanesque period in Savoie. Its oldest part, the apse, dates from the 11th century. In winter, the access road to the church is closed to traffic; access is possible by shuttle.
The Chapel of Saint-Clair was built before 1600. In the hamlet of Verney, it contains a Baroque altarpiece from the 17th century.
The themed routes created by the Amis du Patrimoine pass through two hamlets of Val-Cenis Bramans and trace the history of the buildings there. They include cobbled lanes and an exhibition about village life in the past.
Activities
The Via Ferrata des gorges d'Ambin is classified as fairly difficult. It features footholds secured to the rock face, a Nepalese bridge, a suspension bridge and two zip lines.
The “À la poursuite d'Hannibal” comfort hike presents the history of Hannibal's crossing of the Alps in a fun way.
At “Goûter et traite des vaches à l'alpage”, participants can milk cows by hand and attend a demonstration of cheese making. A mountain snack is offered in the hamlet of Le Planay in Bramans.

The local crafts market in Val-Cenis brings together regional food products and handcrafted goods in Val-Cenis Bramans. “Les fromages de Montbas” sells a variety of cheeses made on site in the mountain pasture.
