By the Water
Swimming, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking are possible at the Plan d'eau de Valbonnais. The lake is accessible year-round. History and Culture
The Château Freynet, also known as Château d'en bas, dates from 1608. In the Sauzet district of Valbonnais there is also the manor house known as Champollion, which is considered to have been the ancestral seat of the younger branch of the Alleman family. The Champollion house and its outbuildings were sold in 1752 to Jean Baptiste Bernard, a royal notary in Valbonnais.
At the beginning of the 18th century, Chabrand in Valbonnais was one of the remote hamlets equipped with a chapel. The Les Montagn'Arts festival includes theatre, songs, readings, poetry, circus and workshops for artistic practice. As part of the festival, a market with local products was held at the campsite on Sunday morning.
