Reignier-Esery: Hotels and Accommodation

The Saveurs & Paysages hike in Reignier-Ésery is a family hike launched in 2010, with a route that changes every year. The routes are an average of 12 kilometres long. Along the way, there are four tasting stations offering soup, meat, cheese and drinks made exclusively from local products.

Nature

The Plaine des Rocailles, which also extends across Reignier-Ésery, is classified as a type I ZNIEFF and has been designated as a sensitive natural area of the département since 2019. It includes dry areas, wetlands, forests and meadows, as well as diverse habitats, flora and fauna.

Culture

The square stone tower of Bellecombe is 25 metres high and served as the castle’s keep. The Château de Polinges collapsed on 2 February 1977; the two entrance towers remain and were restored together with the patio connecting them.

Jean Poinsignon created 11 sound capsules for the “Bancs récitants” project in Reignier-Ésery. For “Bancs récitants”, two routes for short walks in the immediate surroundings are available in Reignier and Ésery.

Leisure Activities

Acro’Aventures Reignier offers four courses: the Grand Course, the Junior Course, the Children’s Course and the Acro Net. Acro’Aventures Reignier also offers seasonal treasure hunts and an orienteering course from April to August. Since 2018, Golf Club Esery – Grand Genève has held the “Golf pour la Biodiversité” label.
