Culture and History
The Musée Montagnard is housed in a historic building in the centre of the village of Les Houches. It presents a collection of ethnographic objects that were formerly used in the Chamonix Valley. During the school holidays, the museum offers guided tours, workshops and activities for children and adults.
The footpath along the church in Les Houches is named “Passage Chagall” in honour of the artist and serves as an exhibition venue. The Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church in Les Houches was consecrated in 1766; its façade displays the typical features of the Baroque style.

The Parc de Merlet is a former alpine pasture on the southern slope of Les Houches at an altitude of 1,500 metres, as well as a 21-hectare park where numerous animal species live in semi-liberty.
