Culture and history

The Church of Saint Nicholas was built in the 15th century and rebuilt between 1702 and 1704. Its 45-metre-high bell tower has a double onion dome and octagonal galleries; it has been listed as a historic monument since 1971.

The Ferme à Isidore was built in 1832 and listed as a historic monument in 2004. Its barn has been converted into an exhibition space of more than 250 m², accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Nature

Mont d’Arbois and the Les Salles summit are located in the immediate vicinity of Combloux. The Croix de la Tête summit and Mont Joux are in the surrounding area of Combloux.

The Plan d’eau biotope offers natural swimming in a protected setting, opposite Mont Blanc. It has four 50-metre-long swimming lanes. From the Plan d’eau biotope, there are views of the Mont Blanc massif, the Fiz range and the Aravis.

Trails and activities

The 20-kilometre-long Sentier du Baroque starts at the Church of Saint Nicholas in Combloux and can be explored on foot or by bicycle. In Combloux, hiking options range from easy walks through the village’s hamlets to a challenging hike to the summit of Croisse-Baulet, which is over 2,000 m high. Combloux’s hiking trails offer panoramas of the Mont Blanc massif, the Fiz range and the Aravis.

The Combloux Bike Park is accessible without ski lifts and open to the public free of charge. The Green Loop in the Combloux Bike Park is an accessible route with steep uphill and downhill turns, suitable for learning mountain biking and for a relaxed family outing.
