Hiking and Landscapes
The 3.5 km-long interpretive loop Boucle de Praveyral starts in the village square and leads to the communal mill. It also features an information panel about the traditional architecture of houses in the valley. The 4.5 km-long interpretive loop Boucle de La Chalp uses information panels to explain the development of the Crévoux valley, as well as what life and work in the fields used to be like.
From La Chalp, the Parcours des Fées is an easy loop leading to an old shepherd’s hut that has been restored as an artistic living space, and to a waterfall; artworks can be seen along the way. A family-friendly hike leads from near the hamlet of La Chalp to the Cascade de Razis in Crévoux. This hike is 7 km long and takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The Bajoulan hike starts and ends in Crévoux and offers views of the surrounding valleys. The Lac du Crachet lies at an altitude of 2,238 m in the Crévoux valley. From La Chalp, it can be reached via a challenging hike lasting approximately two hours.
Parpaillon
The ascent to Parpaillon from Crévoux is possible by gravel bike, mountain bike, on foot, or by electric bicycle. The Parpaillon track leads from Crévoux to an altitude of over 2,600 m and to one end of a tunnel excavated by the military engineering corps at the end of the 19th century.
Culture and Local Life
The Musée rural traces life in the valley in earlier times. The communal village bread oven continues to bring tourists and locals together, thanks to the year-round activities of the association Amis du Pain.
In summer, visitors can meet the shepherds of the Ferme de Samuel every day at 6 p.m. and watch the cows being milked outdoors.
