Culture and Townscape
The single-nave Baroque Church of Saint Apollinaris was built in 1687–1691 on the site of an earlier medieval church and extensively rebuilt in the mid-19th century. The historic centre of Modlany is protected as a cultural and urban-planning value.
The built heritage also includes several chapels in the municipality: The Chapel of Saint Anthony of Padua in Věšťany has a bell in its small tower. The Chapel of Saint Procopius in Suché is a tall chapel from the late 19th century. The chapel in Kvítkov dates from the 19th century and stands below the main road through the village. Its projecting façade structure has no bell; there is only a steel suspension there.
