Albrechtice U Mostu: Hotels and Accommodation

Part of the Jezeří Castle complex with arboretum is located on plot 643/1 in the cadastral area of Albrechtice u Mostu. The historic complex includes the castle, manor house, gatehouse, coach house, an outbuilding, a watchtower, a former bastion and the arboretum.

Culture

The Count’s Chapel is a Baroque chapel built after 1753. It is located in a forest on the eastern side of Jánský vrch, southwest of Jezeří Castle. The chapel is severely neglected; its vault and roof are missing, and vegetation is encroaching into the building.

The Romanesque Church of All Saints stands in Albrechtice u Mostu.

Nature

The Lom Československé armády National Nature Monument also extends into the cadastral area of Albrechtice u Mostu. It protects populations of tawny pipits (Anthus campestris) and northern wheatears (Oenanthe oenanthe). It also encompasses natural ecosystems associated with the excavation pit of the former Československé armády open-cast lignite mine.

History

Albrechtice u Mostu was founded at the end of the 13th century.

Hiking

The challenging, 17-kilometre hiking route “Through the Beech Kingdom to Jezeří” leads from Horní Jiřetín via Mariánské údolí, Mikulovice, Dřevařský rybník, Josefiina skála and Jezeří Castle to the Albrechtická štola signpost, and then back to Horní Jiřetín.

The Albrechtická adit was excavated by hand from December 1978 to May 1979 and is 255 metres long.
