Trails
The Pintovka nature trail runs through the forest above the Lužnice Valley and includes 30 stations with explanatory information. Marked hiking trails in the Tábor region lead to the pilgrimage church in Klokoty, the ruins of Kozí Hrádek, the Old Castle near Borotín, and the Hýlačka lookout tower.
Kozí Hrádek is associated with the emergence of the Hussite tradition in the region; Jan Hus stayed there. From Sezimovo Ústí 2, the site can be reached via a red-marked trail in less than an hour. The Klokoty pilgrimage site is also a national cultural monument and a destination for walks.
Nature
Borkovická blata was designated a nature reserve in 1980. The Nový rybník nature reserve is located near Soběslav. The Chýnov Cave was opened to the public in 1868 and is considered the first cave in the country to be opened to visitors. Its visitor route is approximately 220 meters long; temperatures there range from approximately 5 to 9 °C.
Water
At the Jordán Reservoir in Tábor, swimming is possible, and boats and pedal boats are available for seasonal rental.
History
The Tábor–Bechyně railway was extended across the Duha Bridge to Bechyně in 1929. The historic railway continues to use a 1,500 V direct-current system; the original M400 electric railcar is known as Elinka. Via the Lužnice Valley trail, hikers can return from Malšice to Tábor on the historic electrified railway.
Svákov comprises preserved ramparts of a prehistoric Slavic fortified settlement as well as the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows.

The Toulava tourist area is associated with Tábor, Bechyně, Milevsko, and Sedlčany and is considered to be characterized by historic sights and preserved landscapes.
