Podesdorf: Hotels and accommodations

The municipality of Bohdalovice offers terrain suitable for cross-country skiing in winter. In addition, numerous cycling routes cross the municipality.

Geographical location

Bohdalovice is located 8 km southwest of Český Krumlov and belongs to the Český Krumlov Region tourism area.

The mountains Břevniště and Kleť are located near Bohdalovice. In the wider surrounding region are the historic site of Chlumany, the mountains Aubühel and Vítkův Kámen, as well as the Haslach parish church.

Nature

The forests around Bohdalovice are rich in mushrooms and wild berries.

Culture and history

The stone tower of the Slavkov fortress has an original entrance on the first floor through a pointed-arch portal; the present entrance was added later. The fortress palace is a Renaissance building and incorporates part of the original Gothic fortification wall into its masonry.

The Church of St. Bartholomew in Slavkov was built in 1311 and consecrated in 1313. It was enlarged in 1800–1801, when the nave was added.

The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Svéraz is mentioned in records from 1358. The present Church of St. Peter and St. Paul was created through a Baroque reconstruction in 1774–1775.
