Accommodation in Horni Lipka
Horní Lipka and its wider surroundings are characterized by a high proportion of preserved permanent grassland areas, together with extensive adjoining forest areas. The area is drained by the Lipkovský potok, which flows east of the area in question and belongs to the Morava river basin. The Králický Sněžník Nature Park is located in the area of Horní Lipka.
Culture
The present-day Church of St. Anne in Horní Lipka stands on the site of a stone chapel dedicated to Saint Barbara, the virgin and martyr, dating from 1768; its current Neoclassical form probably dates from 1818. On 26 May 1923, the church tower burned out after being struck by lightning. During reconstruction, the original onion dome was replaced by a pyramid-shaped tower.
A cemetery cross stands in the middle of the cemetery that formerly adjoined the church. The former cemetery is now identifiable by removed gravestones along the southern wall of the church. A fragment of the original monument is also located in the cemetery of Horní Lipka.
History
The K-S 8 Museum features exhibitions on Czechoslovak fortifications, the Carpathian-Dukla Operation, the underground Richard factory, and the Litoměřice concentration camp. The K-S 8 “U nádraží” infantry bunker is located 50 meters from Červený Potok railway station.
The K-S 9 “Mezi lesíky” infantry bunker was built in 1936 as the first fortification structure in the Králicko area and directly adjoins the Hůrka artillery fortress. During the occupation, it was severely damaged by intensive shelling.
Trails
A red-marked hiking trail runs between Heřmanice and Horní Lipka and then continues toward Prostřední Lipka. Regional cycle route 4068 runs between Dolní Lipka, Prostřední Lipka, and Horní Lipka. An old trade route to Kłodzko once passed through Horní Lipka.
