Jedlí: Hotels and accommodations
The first mention of the Church of St. John the Baptist in Jedlí dates back to 1411. In 1633, it was burned down by members of non-Catholic denominations. The single-nave late Baroque church was built in 1786 and has five altars. In 2012, it underwent extensive renovations, including drying the masonry and renewing the flooring, lighting, and interior paintwork.
Culture and history
Outside the church, you can also encounter evidence of various historical periods in Jedlí. The wayside shrine bears the inscription “J. E. P. 1860” on the back of its pedestal. In May 1958, it was registered as a protected cultural monument. The cemetery also contains an interestingly designed Empire-style gravestone from 1819, attributed to the Wachler family. The village school was built in 1832 with a donation from Prince Liechtenstein.
The Holy Trinity Column is associated with the year 1773. It is a group of sandstone sculptures approximately five metres high.
Routes
Two designated cycling routes pass through Jedlí. Cycling Route 6228 connects Štíty with Zábřeh via Václavov, Svébohov, and Růžové údolí. Cycling Route 6229 runs through Jedlí and connects Cotkytle with Čečel via Horní Studénky. It features frequent ascents and descents as well as a varied landscape.
A marked green hiking trail passes through Jedlí: it runs from Zábřeh via Na Horách, Václavov, and Křížové hory through the village to Štíty. Jedlí has six bus stops providing connections within the built-up area. Their 500-metre walking catchment area covers a large part of the built-up area.
Nature
Jedlí is located near Březná Nature Park. At the end of March, wet meadows around Jedlí, Horní Studénky, Drozdov, and the settlement of Na Horách are covered with carpets of the legally protected spring snowflake. Within the nature park, the Březná and Moravská Sázava rivers form distinctive, deep, and symmetrical valleys.
The occurrence of the rare and strictly protected round-leaved sundew has been documented in the cadastral territory of Jedlí.
