Landscape and Trails
A local cycle route runs through Oborná. A green-marked hiking trail also passes through the southern part of the village.
In the surrounding area, a green hiking trail leads via Bruntál to the 672 m-high Uhlířský vrch. The path to this summit is lined with a centuries-old avenue of linden trees, and a small church stands at the top. The protected area of the Uhlířský vrch natural monument surrounds the summit.
History and Village Character
Oborná was first mentioned in 1405. The historical names Spillenberg and Spillendorf originally meant a watchtower and a guard post, respectively. The dominant landmark of Oborná is the Church of the Most Holy Trinity.
