Cycling Routes and Local Festival Tradition

The Strážské slavnosti is a traditional local festival. Long-distance cycling route No. 14/14A Odra–Nisa runs along the edge of Stráž nad Nisou. Local cycling route 3006 connects Liberec with Stráž nad Nisou, Mníšek, Oldřichov v Hájích and Hejnice. Local cycling route 3065 connects Stráž nad Nisou with Chrastava. Route 3006 runs via Liberec, Mníšek and Oldřichov v Hájích to Hejnice, while route 3065 forms a separate connection to Chrastava.

Manor House and Textile History

The former manor house was acquired in 1800 by Liberec entrepreneur J. G. Berger. Its buildings were converted into the first textile factory of its kind in the Liberec region. The gate is located opposite the church, so the manor house and the religious building are spatially linked in the townscape. The historical sequence runs from the acquisition in 1800 to the use of the buildings as a textile factory, linking the former manor house with the region’s industrial history.
