Nature

The Lánovská Trail in the cadastral area of Horní Lánov is intended for pedestrians. It is equipped with play elements and rest areas, provides ecological knowledge, and fosters a positive relationship with nature and the surrounding area.

History

The first documented mention of Lánov dates back to 1355. The Stations of the Cross, Křížová cesta, is located west of Horní Lánov. The original Stations of the Cross consisted of fourteen stone chapels depicting the Stations of the Cross; the stations were repaired in 2011.

Activities

At the “Rodinná farma Teri” farm in Horní Lánov, children and adults can go horseback riding. Beginners can take lessons there for a fee, while children can ride guided horses. Letiště Vrchlabí airport in the cadastral area of Prostřední Lánov offers sightseeing flights. The lánovský Minikvíz z myslivosti consists of nine stations with questions about wildlife and plants.

Water and Transport Links

The section of the Malé Labe between Horní Lánov and Prostřední Lánov is rated WW III–II and is navigable only in spring during the snowmelt. Regular bus services serve Lánov and stop at two stops.
